This creamy, dark and dreamy, chocolately Nutella Hot Cocoa is absolutely decadent! It’s a favorite fall and winter warm up!
Have you guys heard of wine snobs? Coffee snobs? Well, if there’s such a thing as a hot cocoa snob, I know one. Seriously, my husband Tom would be the king! So when I decided I wanted to share a hot cocoa with you guys on the blog for Simple Saturday, I knew it better be good! Better than good! I knew it had to be my snob approved Nutella Hot Cocoa!
Tom is not a tea or coffee drinker. So when fall and winter rolls around and he’s looking for something to warm him up in the mornings he always requests this creamy, dark and dreamy, chocolately hot cocoa with Nutella. This recipe is so incredibly easy Tom could actually make it himself. Not that he would because according to the king it’s always more fun and tastes better when someone make it for him! All hail the king! (wink, wink)
You’ll only need five ingredients, milk, heavy cream, Nutella, bittersweet chocolate and some marshmallows before you’re in hot cocoa heaven! I’m going to be honest, as you may have already suspected, it’s not good FOR you, but boy is it good! Really good! It’s a special treat and once in a while we all deserve a special treat. So if you’re going to indulge, you may as well make sure it’s over the top crazy good, right?! Well, this Nutella Hot Cocoa is all that and more! It couldn’t be any simpler or any more delicious friends….and that comes from His Highness, King of the HC Snobs himself! Enjoy!
Nutella Hot Cocoa

- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Nutella
- 1 Tbsp. finely chopped bittersweet chocolate
- mini marshmallows
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat milk and heavy cream over medium high heat until warm.
- Whisk in Nutella and bittersweet chocolate until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
- Remove from the heat and pour into a mug. Top with marshmallows. Toast the marshmallows with a kitchen torch if you have one. If not just let the marshmallows melt on top.
Wow. Well this certainly does look good! Better than dessert!

But at home, I seem not to make cocoa for my family because we almost use packaged cocoa for convenience. So, your recipe of nutella hot cocoa makes me feel it is an interesting idea.
