Why You’ll Love this Recipe
It’s loaded with sweet summer peaches. Need I say more?
Make it on a Monday and you’ll have a slice for each and every day of the week to enjoy with your morning coffee.
It’s as easy to make as my banana bread recipe, you’re just substituting peaches.
Ingredients You’ll Need
- all-purpose flour
- ground cinnamon
- baking soda
- unsalted butter
- granulated sugar
- large eggs
- peaches
- lemon
- vanilla extract
Step-By-Step Instructions
The first step is to whisk together flour, cinnamon and baking soda in a medium bowl and then set aside.
The second step is to cream together your room temperature butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl.
The third step is to add your room temperature eggs and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
The fourth step is to roughly mash your peaches, toss with your lemon juice, then add to your butter mixture until well combined. Next up, you’ll add your flour mixture and mix until just combined. Do not over mix.
The last step is to pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top with an offset spatula. You’ll bake your loaf for 55-60 minutes or until your tester comes out clean. If bread is browning too quickly tent it with a piece of tinfoil. Remove from oven and let cool on wire rack for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
Everyone’s oven is a bit different, so begin testing your loaf for doneness at 55 minutes and keep checking every 4-5 minutes until your tester comes out clean.
This is such a delicious way to use up those beautiful peaches this season. It’s one of my favorites. Hope it becomes one of yours too!

A Few Cook’s Notes for Peach Bread
When you mash up your peaches, leave some chunks.
I add one teaspoon ground cinnamon, but if you like more cinnamon flavor you can add a 1/2 of a teaspoon more.
You’ll need 1 1/2 cups mashed peaches, so about 3-4 large peaches.
