So I photographed this classic Green Bean Casserole a few years ago for my friends at ShopRite and Del Monte and shared it on Instagram, but I never shared it here on the blog.
I know everyone has probably made this recipe like a zillion times, but I didn’t want to miss sharing it here on my site because let’s face it, when you Google green bean casserole and the one with Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup and Del Monte green beans comes up first, then it’s special to lots and lots of people. My husband being one of them.

You can make this a day or two ahead which is key during the holiday season.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
- milk
- soy sauce
- Del Monte canned green beans
- French’s French fried onions
Step-By-Step Instructions
Combine soup, milk soy sauce, beans and 2/3 cup French fried onions in large bowl until all ingredients are combined. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the mixture into a 1/2-quart oven safe casserole dish.
Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly. Stir.
Sprinkle with the remaining 2/3 cup onions.
Bake for another 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
This casserole has been a family favorite for over six decades! Count ’em…six!! Hope you make this one again this holiday season!

A Few Cook’s Notes for Green Bean Casserole
You can use frozen, fresh or canned green beans for this recipe. And you can use canned cut green beans or French style.
You can make this recipe a day or two ahead and then just bake before serving. I add the crispy onions right before I’m ready to bake.

- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 4 cups cooked cut green beans,
- 1 1/3 cups French's® French Fried Onions, divided
