Why You’ll Love this Recipe
This appetizer recipe is BEYOND easy to make! Five minutes of prep time and roughly 20-25 minutes to bake.
If you’re a fan of olives, you’re going to LOVE this appy! I use pitted green olives and pitted Kalamata olives. If your market has an olive bar you can grab them there. If not, you can grab them in the specialty cheese area of your market.
Ingredients You’ll Need
- block of feta cheese
- olive oil
- fresh rosemary
- dried oregano
- lemon
- garlic
- kosher salt and pepper
- combination of pitted green and Kalamata olives
- sun-dried tomatoes
Step-By-Step Instructions
The first step is to add your block of feta to a small baking dish. You’ll then add your olives and sun-dried tomatoes to the dish around the outside of the block of feta.
The second step is to whisk together your olive oil, minced garlic, fresh chopped rosemary, dried oregano, lemon zest and a pinch of kosher salt and pepper in a small bowl. You’ll pour the mixture over your feta.
The last step is to bake in a 350 degree oven for roughly 20-25 minutes or until the feta is softened and warmed through.
As soon as I remove the feta from the oven I use my serving knife to break up the feta a bit so it’s easy to spread on your crackers or bread.
This is a simple appetizer that’s so easy to throw together for unexpected guests. It’s also perfect for date night in. I hope you folks give it a go.
