Stay safe, healthy and hydrated this summer with these delicious flavors of Fruit Infused Water!

Fruit-Infused Water

Wow guys, I just checked out the weather app on my phone and holy cow it’s gonna be hot this week!! Hotter than hot! Like fry an egg on the sidewalk kinda hot! We’re talkin’ temps 95 and higher for almost the entire week! Ugh! I knew this would be coming, so I planned out today’s post a few weeks ago knowing I’d be sharing it at some point and today’s the day.

Fruit Infused Waters

I’m sharing this recipe for Fruit Infused Water not only because it’s delicious, but because I care about you guys and I want to make sure you’re prepared for the heat! We all know how important it is to stay hydrated in conditions of extreme heat, but knowing it and actually doing it are two different things.

Fruit-Infused Water

I wish I was one of those people who loves to drink plain old water, but I’m not. I’m always looking for a way to jazz it up so I’m more likely to grab water instead of grabbing something sugary and bad for me. By simply adding some fruit, I get a drink I enjoy with fresh fruit flavor but without any added sugar or any extra calories. Woot woot! I have to say, I feel less tired, have fewer headaches and actually feel less hungry when I’m hydrated.

Fruit-Infused Water

There are so many fruit flavored waters at the market, but making it at home is so easy and way less expensive. My three favorite flavor combinations are Raspberry-Lime, Strawberry-Blueberry-Kiwi and Cucumber-Lemon-Mint, but feel free to use any fruit combinations that happen to be your favorites. All you’ll need to make your own fruit infused water at home is a large pitcher, some washed, clean fruit, a knife for slicing and a large wooden spoon to muddle the mint or other herbs to help release their oils.

Fruit-Infused Water

Fruit infused water can only be kept at room temperature for two hours. After two hours it needs to be refrigerated to prevent the growth of bacteria. You’ll also need to strain out all the solids after 24 hours and then return the water to the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Any unpeeled citrus fruits (lemons, limes, oranges) will make the water bitter after about 2-3 hours, so just remove the slices and squeeze in the juices before discarding the rinds and return to the fridge.

Keep it cool this week my friends with these tasty fruit infused water combos! Stay safe, stay healthy and stay hydrated!

I will be honest and admit I don’t drink enough water. I always grab an energy drink over water, which is terrible, I know. Totally need to change that and whip up these fruit infused waters! These are so gorgeous, Mary Ann! Not only that, I bet they taste refreshing and perfectly delicious! This is a water I won’t turn down! Pinned! Cheers, friend!

I am terrible at drinking plain water Cheyanne, so this is the only way I do it! And with the temps rising above 95 this week, it’s the perfect time to make a few pitchers! Try to stay cool!

I love water and it’s a definite go-to choice for me when I’m thirsty. I usually always got some at my side. No complaints about the warmer weather from me….we get so few days so I have to enjoy it while it’s around! Probably not as warm as you guys, but warm enough :) Love this fruit infused water! Such a great way to make plain water more interesting, plus get a little sweetness too. Plus, it looks so pretty too! Pinned! Have a great week :)
