Today, we’re starting off Cinco de Mayo week with a bang guys! Grab yourself a cocktail glass and belly up to the bar!

Watermelon Mint Margaritas on a silver tray

I’m incredibly excited for today’s post for all kinda reasons. First of all, Cinco de Mayo isn’t just a day celebration around these parts. We par-tay like it’s our birthday! It’s a full week of fun, food and festivities.

And today, I’m partnering with my friends at Powell & Mahoney to bring you this yummy Watermelon Mint Margarita as part of their #MargaritaEveryDay celebration for Cinco de Mayo. They’ve organized nine days of margarita recipes from some very talented fellow bloggers, festive foods and fun party crafts all centered around the iconic cocktail.

Margarita Mixer bottle on a silver tray

Please say you’ve heard of Powell and Mahoney Craft Cocktail Mixers? I’ve been a fan of their products for quite a while and I’m so excited to share them with you folks. Their mixers are made with natural ingredients, hand-selected juices, pure cane sugar and agave and no artificial flavors or preservatives. And they’re gluten free AND delicious!

Today’s cocktail is a combo of juicy watermelon, fresh mint and lime, blanco tequila and Powell & Mahoney’s Class Margarita mix. It’s served shaken and strained over ice in a salt-rimmed glass. It’s fun, fresh and fruity! Enjoy!

Yaaaaaaay for Cinco de Mayo! It is definitely one of my favorite holidays, because any holiday that basically requires margaritas is a-okay with me! ;) I’ve never heard of Powell and Mahoney Mixers before, but that’s only because I rarely ever buy prepared mixers, but if they have your stamp of approval, then I know they MUST be good!! This margarita is gorgeous, Mary Ann! I definitely need a pitcher of this deliciousness come Friday! Pinned! Cheers!

That’s the prettiest margarita I’ve ever seen, MaryAnn. Often margaritas are too sweet for me, but the addition of mint seems like it would make it just the right balance of sweet / herbal.
