This Ruby Red Gimlet is the perfect little cocktail to help usher in the new spring season!
Disclosure: Today’s post is in partnership with my friends at Drizly. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Woohoo! It’s Thirsty Thursday friends! And today it’s all about spring cocktailing at the BHK!
With Easter only a few short weeks away, my Type A personality self is busy organizing and planning everything, especially the menu, right down to the last detail. And we all know a holiday wouldn’t be a celebration without a special signature cocktail.
So today, with a little help from my friends at Drizly I’m sharing my new favorite spring cocktail, the Ruby Red Gimlet. I knew if I was going to concoct a special cocktail for spring/Easter it would have to be a beautiful color √, include some fresh fruit √, and include my favorite, Hendrick’s Gin.√
The color of this Ruby Red Gimlet screams spring, am I right? And it’s so delicious. It’s a mixture of Hendrick’s Gin, freshly squeezed Ruby Red grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup and fresh mint. It’s a fabulous combo. Let’s just say, I’ve really enjoyed recipe testing this one!
So let me dish a bit about Drizly guys, just in case you haven’t heard about them. Drizly partners with local retailers to bring beer, wine, liquor and loads of extras right to your doorstep. Yes, right to your doorstep. How convenient is that? They’ve got competitive prices and a huge selection. Totally worth a peek folks!
And one other special thing I’m dying to share today is my new walnut serving board from my friend Michael at Michael’s Woodcraft. I often get comments from you folks on where I get certain props displayed in my posts, so this was one I knew I had to share! I’ve been a follower of Michael’s for years and I’m a huge admirer of his work. I mean look at that beautiful, rich walnut, and take a look at the fabulous engraving with the exact font from my blog! I’m absolutely in love with it!
So cheers to spring and Thirsty Thursday friends! Enjoy!

That glass is also very special. It was my grandmother’s! She didn’t have a full set, just a few wine glasses, a few smaller glasses for liqueur, that single coupe glass and a small pitcher, but I treasure them all!
