Easy to make and perfect for parties, this Restaurant Style Salsa is flavored-packed with a kick of heat! Enjoy as a topping for your tacos, for dipping with tortilla chips or even scrambled into your morning eggs!
I don’t know about you folks, but I absolutely love salsa. I love it scrambled into my morning eggs, as a topping for tacos, chicken or fish or just for plain dipping with some tortilla chips.
And I especially love making homemade salsa. When you make it homemade you can control the amount of heat you desire, as well as how thick or thin you like it.
Tom loves when I make it homemade because he’s not a huge chunky tomato fan. If I do happen to buy a jar at the market and it’s on the thicker side and he spots a tomato chunk it’s danger danger! He can’t possibly eat a tomato chunk. Who knows what will happen?? So it’s time to break out the blender to get rid of all those dastardly chunks and avert a catastrophe. I know. I’m a good wife.

A Few Cook’s Notes for Restaurant Style Salsa
I like to add a can of chopped mild green chiles to my salsa, as well as one large jalapeño. I slice the jalapeno lengthwise and take out the seeds in one of the halves and leave the seeds in the other for some added heat. If you like things milder you can skip the seeds altogether.
