This Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brookie Tart is two delicious desserts in one! Decadent fudgy brownies topped with dollops of peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough and baked to perfection.
Hey guys! Happy Monday! Did y’all have a nice weekend? I hope yours was better than mine. Mine involved lots of driving, a dog with a cracked, infected tooth and a very expensive vet bill! Wah-wah. Stressful situations call for one thing and one thing only in my book…chocolate. So it was this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brookie Tart to the rescue! It totally did the trick! Well, at least for me, but not for my poor dog Tucker!
So this is how it went down. Everything was fine and dandy one minute and the next minute, I look at our dog Tucker and he has a lump on the side of his face as big as an egg. Like what the? OMG! I was freaking out. He wasn’t whining, or crying, just looking at me with this big old lump on his face! I had no idea what happened. Tucker and I were visiting with my mom who is up from Florida for the summer, so we all hopped in the car to head home so I could get Tucker to the vet. The vet said he had a cracked tooth that was infected and would need to be pulled! Ugh! Poor Tuck! Of course the vet couldn’t pull it on Friday, so she sent us home with antibiotics and pain meds for the weekend for the poor little guy and told us to come back on Tuesday. So tomorrow’s the big day. Hope it goes by quickly and as painlessly as possible!
Now, back to the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brookie Tart. If you love brownies and love peanut butter cookies , you’re going to love this tart. And if you’ve never heard of a brookie, a brookie is a combination of a brownie and a cookie. And in this case it’s a decadently delicious fudgy brownie and a peanut butter cookie studded with chocolate chips in tart form. You can also use a 10 inch pie plate if you don’t have a tart pan. Just whip up the brownie batter and pour it into the tart pan and top with dollops of the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough and bake. This tart does double duty. It’ll satisfy your brownie and cookie cravings in one! It’s a win-win my friends. Hope you enjoy. Have a wonderful week!

Omg. Poor Tucker!! That same exact thing happened to our Tater tot, except hers was an abscessed tooth. Glad you took your fur baby to the vet and everything will soon be okay!! My fingers are crossed!! But, Soooo expensive- I know…however, they are so worth every cent, our fur children, right? After a stressful weekend, chocolate is the best pick me up! Geraldine | Green Valley Kitchen
My dog had a cracked tooth – but you couldn’t tell by looking at her. She all of a sudden got very snappy around other dogs and I couldn’t figure it out – turns out the tooth was really bothering her. Luckily my vet was able to figure it out. And yes, that is one doozy of a vet bill! Now for this tart – it looks just delicious – love the combo of peanut butter and chocolate chip – sooo good. And I see that great blue and white plate again!
Mary Ann
I’m dreading that bill tomorrow! Yikes! I may need to make another one of these tarts to soften the blow! I know, I love those plates too!
Lisa
Poor Tucker! I hope everything goes well tomorrow! I think when he is all better he deserves special homemade doggie treats!

Mary Ann
Not as droolworthy as your latest macaron masterpiece, but delicious Thalia! Thanks!
Deb
Oh my! This looks yummy! Will have to try this one.
Mary Ann
Thanks Debbie! Maybe instead of chocolate chips, add some chopped up M&M’s for Vaughn!!
Kathy @ Beyond the Chicken Coop
Poor Tucker! I hope all goes well. Glad you could ease your pain a bit with this tart! Sometimes we need a little something to get us through the rough parts. Hang in there….and have another slice of tart! :)
Mary Ann
Absolutely Kathy. Just dropped him off. His poor little face when I left him there! Ugh! Can’t wait to get him back later today. He’ll be the most spoiled dog ever for a few days, I can guarantee that.
Rachelle @ Beer Girl Cooks
Oh no! Poor Tucker! I hope his tooth has been painlessly and successfully pulled and he is now on the mend! To bad he can’t have some of this delicious chocolate and peanut butter action because this looks amazing!

Tessa | Salted Plains
Oh my goodness, I hope everything went okay yesterday! It’s so stressful when pets are hurting – you just want it fixed pronto!
This tart looks incredible and also has my two favorite things – chocolate and peanut butter! I’m thinking an all-purpose gf flour could work well in this. Can’t wait to try it out!
Mary Ann
Yes, I agree Tessa! I can’t wait until he’s all better! My favorite combo too! Hope you enjoy it!
Lynn | The Road to Honey
Oh man Mary Ann. . .I hope that Tucker will be able to manage the pain through the weekend. That really stinks that he has to wait that long. . .I know I wouldn’t be able to. And I’m all too familiar with outrageous vet bills. . .so you have my sympathy there.
Too bad this brookie has chocolate in it. . .because I think it would do a really nice job of keeping Tucker’s mind off the pain (maybe more so than those pain meds). Personally, my tummy is starting to rumble with the thoughts of it (and here I was trying to be good today. . .and stay away from any sweet temptations) and unlike Tucker it is perfectly safe for me to devour loads of chocolate.
Mary Ann
It’s so easy and so delicious Lynn! Nothing beats chocolate and peanut butter in my book! Tucker’s doing ok, just moping around a bit today. I can’t wait until he’s 100 percent!
MB @ Bourbon and Brown Sugar
Poor Tucker! If only he could have enjoyed this awesome tart :) It’s gorgeous – and peanut butter and chocolate is always a winning combination in my book!
Mary Ann
Mine too! Yes, poor Tucker! He’s slowly on the mend!
Claudia | The Brick Kitchen
Oh man that sucks for Tucker! It’s just a shame he can’t eat this cake to make him feel better!
Hope it goes as painlessly as possible for all of you.
Amazing tart too – sheer decadence <3
Mary Ann
Thanks so much Claudia. He’s coming along! And so am I with this tart!
Laura | Tutti Dolci
I love this tart because there is no way I could choose between brownies or cookies – this is the best of both worlds!
Mary Ann
Yes!! Agreed!
Matt
It’s 9am but this is all I want today!
Mary Ann
Ha! It’s so easy and really delicious Matt! Trade you for some breakfast pockets and bunny bark! Deal?
