These Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting are festive little bites that are just perfect for the holiday season!
Holiday baking is in full swing folks!
And I’m extra excited to share today’s Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting.
These beauties are from my friend, Fanny Lam’s awesome new cookbook, Oh Sweet Day!
I came across Fanny a while back through her Instagram account.
If you’re not familiar, take a look see here. It doesn’t take much to get hooked on Fanny’s desserts.
Cakes, cupcakes, shortbread cookies, cheesecakes, cakepops, macarons, tartlets….ALL amazing!
Fanny is a wife and mother who realized her dream of creating her own home-based bakery. She’s especially busy during the holiday season when she bakes thousands of cookies for her Oh Sweet Day! Holiday Cookie Boxes.
Her recipes are not only impressive and delicious, but extremely approachable.
A Few Cook’s Notes for Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe:
The key to this recipe is the addition of the buttermilk. If you don’t have buttermilk, you can make it homemade. Fanny recommends mixing one cup of milk with one tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir it together and let it sit for 5 minutes.
I sprinkled the top of my cupcakes with my favorite gold edible stars from Wilton. The link is HERE.
I thought Fanny’s Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting would be perfect for the holidays this season. They’ve got that iconic gorgeous red color and they’re moist and fluffy with a hint of chocolate flavor. Then they’re topped with a cream cheese frosting that’s smooth, creamy and totally luscious!
There’s no time like the present to get your holiday bake on folks! And this is one cupcake that needs to make your baking list this holiday season. Enjoy!
And with holiday baking season in full swing, I’ll be hosting a fantastic giveaway with my good friends from Diamond of California Nuts next Monday, December 3rd, so don’t forget stop by the blog to check it out! Fanny’s new book, Oh Sweet Day! will be part of the giveaway!
I’ll also be sharing a fabulous holiday cookie that will totally need a spot on your holiday cookie tray this year featuring Diamond’s whole almonds! You won’t want to miss it!
