These Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels are addictively delicious! Put out a bowl at your next game day party and watch them disappear! They’re also the perfect lunch box treat for the kiddos!
My son Sean is a snacker just like his mama. His first choice for snacking is probably Toasty Cheez-Its, with flavored pretzels coming in as a close second. My favorite snack has always been pretzels. I honestly don’t think I could live without them. Cue the drama queen in me.
Sean turned me on to cinnamon sugar pretzels. He used to buy them, but he quickly realized it was much cheaper to support his habit if he made them at home. And honestly this recipe doesn’t get much easier. We found it on Food Network and we just made two small tweaks.
Why You’ll Love this Recipe
These pretzels take 15 minutes from start to finish and they’re absolutely addictive.
Flavored pretzels are so much cheaper to make at home instead of store-bought.
Ingredients You’ll Need
- pretzel snaps
- butter
- ground cinnamon
- vanilla extract
- maple syrup
- granulated sugar
Step-By-Step Instructions
The first step is to melt your butter and then add to it 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, one teaspoon vanilla extract and one teaspoon maple syrup and set aside.
The second step is to toss your pretzel snaps in the butter mixture and spread on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
The thrid step is to make your cinnamon sugar mixture while your pretzels are baking. You’ll combine 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with one teaspoon of ground cinnamon and mix until well combined.
The last step is to remove your pretzels from the oven and add to a large bowl. You’ll pour your cinnamon sugar mixture over the pretzels and toss well.
Less preservatives than store-bought, cheaper and even more delicious! Hope you make a batch soon!

A Few Cook’s Notes for Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels
I used butter-flavored snap pretzels for this recipe. I like the extra flavor. Plain or butter-flavored will work.
Store your pretzels in an airtight container or Ziploc bag.
