- 1/2 cup (one stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup pecan halves, roughly chopped
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 frozen deep dish pie crust
Melt your butter either on the stovetop or in a microwave-safe dish.
Add your flour and granulated sugar to a large bowl and mix together with a rubber spatula.
Add your melted butter, lightly beaten eggs, vanilla extract, roughly chopped pecans and chocolate chips to the flour mixture and mix until well combined.
Pour the mixture into your frozen pie crust, smoothing the top with a rubber or offset spatula. You'll bake the pie at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
Not a fan of pecans? Substitute some walnuts instead.
I just use a frozen deep dish pie crust from my local market for this recipe.
