Ingredients

  • 3 6-oz. containers fresh blackberries
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 2 tsp. fresh lime zest
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Set the temperature to 375℉ on the Traeger and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. Spray a 9-inch round baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix the blackberries with 1/2 cup of the granulated sugar, lime zest and lime juice. Pour into prepared dish.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and remaining sugar. In another small bowl, combine milk, melted butter and vanilla. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry mixture and mix until well combined. Pour this mixture over the berries.
  • Place the baking dish directly on the grill grates and bake until the top is lightly browned and the fruit is bubbly, about 40-45 minutes.
  • Remove the slump from the grill and serve warm in individual bowls, topped with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Notes

I decided to use blackberries for this recipe, but you could also use a combination of berries. Blueberries and strawberries would work or even blackberries and peaches.
This is delicious served warm topped with vanilla ice cream.
I set my Traeger to 375 degrees and cooked this slump for 40-45 minutes until the top was golden brown and I could see the fruit beginning to bubble.
