This Easy Cherry Pear Baked Oatmeal is a warm and comforting breakfast that’s perfect for those colder fall mornings! It’s a stick-to-your-bones satisfying meal!
Who’s looking for a cozy fall breakfast that’s super simple to throw together and sure to keep you satisfied til lunch?
This Easy Cherry Pear Baked Oatmeal is one of my favorite fall breakfasts. If you have yet to give baked oatmeal a go, it’s sort of a cross between the traditional creamy breakfast oatmeal and a nice big fat oatmeal cookie. Sounds good right? I mean who doesn’t like cookies for breakfast?
But I have to say, this is so much easier than making a batch of cookies. You’ve got the usual oatmeal cookie cast of characters…oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts combined with juicy pears, dried cherries, milk and eggs. Pour it all into an 8×8 pan and toss it in the oven to bake. Breakfast doesn’t get much tastier or easier.
Easy Cherry Pear Baked Oatmeal Ingredients
- old-fashioned rolled oats
- baking powder
- salt
- pecans
- dried cherries
- pears
- milk
- eggs
- light brown sugar
- cinnamon
I added the pears to this comforting baked oatmeal dish because I feel like apples always get all the attention and pears kinda get ignored. I don’t really know why either because they’re always so juicy and delicious.
How to Make this Easy Cherry Pear Baked Oatmeal
First, you’ll combine your oats, baking powder and salt in a large bowl and whisk until combined. Then you’ll add your pecans, cherries and pears. In another bowl, you’ll whisk together your milk, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla extract. You’ll pour the milk mixture over the dry ingredients, stir until combined, pour into your baking dish and bake! It’s just delicious served warm from the oven with some maple syrup.
So start the coffee and get your breakfast bake on folks!

Liz @ Floating Kitchen
We have had some CRAZY weather here. We got dumped with snow a couple weeks ago and then we just had two days of almost 70 degrees. So all the snow is gone. And damn, did that weather feel good. But now we’re back to normal Winter weather. Mother Nature is all screwed up (no thanks to us and climate change, I suppose). This oatmeal looks and sounds delicious. I haven’t made baked oatmeal in years. I need to fix that ASAP!
Mary Ann
I know, the weather has been crazy Liz! I’ll take those 70 degree February days anytime Mother Nature wants to send them our way! Hope you enjoy the oatmeal if you give it a go!
Tessa | Salted Plains
I am so into this, Mary Ann! Although, yesterday it snowed and today is 65 degrees! (What is going on…) The cherries and pears must pair so wonderfully together. Making this asap. xo
Mary Ann
I’m so glad Tessa! I know, the weather has been crazy! Can’t wait for you to try this one!

Mary Ann
I love the cherry pear combo too Traci. This is a warm me up kind of breakfast. And the smell in my kitchen is wonderful!

MD-DE
I had such high hopes for this – bought the ingredients and made this right away. It was dry and didn’t have much flavor. I would double the spices and cook it for less time, and then maybe top it with honey butter or a lot of syrup. Love almost all your receipts, but this one isn’t a keeper :(
Mary Ann
Sad you didn’t enjoy it Sharon.
Traci | Vanilla And Bean
What a delicious update Mare! Pears and cherries are a perfect complement to cozy baked oats. This just screams fall!
